Sandra Hülser’s film dog Messi, a border collie, stole the show at the Cannes Film Festival. The dog, who starred in Anatomy of a Case and swept the Oscars, posed on the red carpet and filmed a TikTok with a selfie stick.

Messi, a border collie, has already appeared in an Oscar-winning film and posed with the stars at an awards ceremony in Los Angeles in March. He did the same on the Cannes red carpet on Tuesday night. His red carpet appearance was the first by a dog at a film festival in the South of France.

Messi stood on his hind legs and held a selfie stick

The four-legged star of Anatomy of an Affair appeared to be posing, among other things, on her hind legs and waving at photographers with her front paws. Eight-year-old Messi also held a selfie stick and camera between his teeth to create a TikTok video for the festival.

This four-legged friend became famous for playing guide dog Snoop in the French crime film Anatomy of a Case. sandra hueller (46) played the lead role. The film won Best Original Screenplay at this year’s Oscars.

Messi arrived at the event in France with his owner and cinema dog trainer Laura Martin-Contini, walking the red carpet in an elegant light gray dress.

The crime film “Anatomy,” directed by Justine Triet (45), premiered at Cannes last year and won the film festival’s top prize, the Palme d’Or. Messi won the Dog Palm Award, an award given by journalists to the best dog at the festival.

Apart from Messi, actress Léa Seydoux (38, “Dune: Part 2”) was the talk of the town on Tuesday night. Her latest film was “Ledeuxième acte” (international title: “Second Act”), directed by Quentin Dupieux (50). The Cannes Film Festival is held every year on the Cote d’Azur. (iri/spot)
