Plauen – In Plauen (Voigtland) There was another dog attack late Sunday evening!

The incident took place at around 10:30 pm on Nach dem Seehausstrasse in Neudorfer Forstadt.

The man (34) was walking on the sidewalk in the direction of Liebknechtstrasse. A 39-year-old man and his companion were walking in front of him. They had one dog on a leash, and the other two were roaming free in the meadow.

Police say a medium-sized dog suddenly ran up to him and bit the 34-year-old man’s arm without any prior provocation.

Fortunately, the dog’s owner was able to quickly get the dog back under control. The 34-year-old man suffered minor injuries and required medical treatment.

Police point out that dogs must be leashed on public roads, public areas and on property in most areas of the region.

“Violations are administrative offenses and can result in heavy fines. If a third party is harmed by a dog attack, they will always be subject to criminal prosecution for negligent injury.”
