At Bruchwald in Bietigheim-Bissingen, a dog (possibly an American bulldog) injured a runner in the thigh. He wasn’t on a leash.

The police dog handling unit at Ludwigsburg Police Headquarters is looking for witnesses to the incident. According to current police reports, the incident took place at around 8am on February 3 in the Bruchwald area of Bietigheim-Bissingen.

A 53 year old woman was there with her running group. Shortly before the “Valdo Lounge” restaurant, she saw her group of four (3 women and 1 man) with several dogs coming towards her. One of the dogs, which was apparently being walked by a man in the group, was not on a leash and jumped at the 53-year-old man, causing a minor injury to the woman’s thigh. She then sought medical treatment and filed a police report.

Around 8 a.m. on April 13, she met the man again in Bruchwald and told him about the incident. However, he refused to give her any personal information, according to police reports. The dog’s owner is described as a man between 50 and 55 years old, between 1.75 and 1.80 meters tall, with short medium brown hair. On April 13, he was wearing glasses, light-colored jeans, a blue sweatshirt, and a dark-colored jacket. The dog appears to be an American bulldog with short light brown fur. Witnesses are asked to call (07141) 189 or email ludwigsburg.pp@polizei.bwl.de.
