Dreieich/Splendlingen. At around 1:05 a.m. Wednesday, three thieves stole an electric mountain bike on Lostädterstrasse. They stopped a 24-year-old cyclist at a railroad crossing there. Dreieicher was pulled from his motorcycle and carried to the ground by the gray-clad ringleader. The victim suffered minor injuries. The assailants, all aged around 25, fled on bicycles in the direction of Darmstadter-Landstrasse. Two of the assailants were black-haired, approximately 1.75 meters tall, and were wearing jogging suits. The third culprit was quite tall, dressed in black, and had blonde hair. Offenbach’s criminal police have taken over the investigation and are looking for witnesses who can call 069-8098 1234.


Electric folding bicycle accident: 1 person seriously injured

Mülheim. At around 6:45 on Tuesday evening, there was a collision between a gray Kia Sportage and a Hitway Matrix folding electric bicycle at the intersection of Offenbachstrasse and Alberstrasse. The 45-year-old cyclist was likely riding the wrong way on the Offenbachstrasse bike path when the Kia Sportage crossed Offenbachstrasse towards Alvarstrasse. The 64-year-old driver said he was slow to notice electric bikes. A woman on a bicycle from Mülheim sustained injuries to her head and arm, and she had to be taken to the hospital. There was property damage estimated at around €400 to her car and bicycle. Mülheim Police Station is currently investigating the charges against both drivers and is asking any witnesses to contact them on 06108-60000.

Single serious accident with A3

Weiskirchen. A black BMW overturned on the A3 motorway in the direction of Würzburg at around 3:50 a.m. early Wednesday morning. Witnesses told police highway patrol officers that the car left the left lane and veered onto the shoulder for no apparent reason. There he tossed and turned several times. Several first responders at the scene provided first aid until paramedics arrived. The 40-year-old driver was seriously injured in the accident. There was also a small hunting dog in the car, but it was thrown out and could not be saved in the accident. Damage to the vehicle is estimated at approximately 40,000 euros.
