04/30/24, 6:27am: Dog warns of fire on balcony

In Bad Entbach (Marburg-Biedenkopf), a dog woke up a family in the middle of the night with a loud bark, warning them that there was a fire on their balcony. Yesterday afternoon, Central Hesse Police Headquarters announced that the four-legged friend may have prevented something worse from happening. Firefighters received the call around 2:35 a.m. Monday night and quickly extinguished the fire. No one was hurt. Initial estimates put the damage at around 15,000 euros, but the cause of the fire is not yet clear.

24/04/30, 6:14am: Outdoor pool season begins in Frankfurt

It may have been worth it yesterday, but it’s definitely worth it today (more on this later). Outdoor pool season has begun in Frankfurt. The outdoor pool in the Hausen district opened yesterday, traditionally as the city’s first pool. From now on, keen outdoor swimmers will once again be able to jump into the sea in Hausen from 6:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

The Adventure Pool in Wolfhagen (Kassel) is the first outdoor pool in Hesse, which opened in mid-April. In other parts of Hesse, outdoor swimming pools such as Barbarosabad in Gelnhausen (Main-Kinzig), Niedernhausen Forest swimming pool (Rheingau-Taunus), Bensheim bathing lake (Bergstrasse) and Auerbad open in May. Open on the 1st. Kassel or Dietzenbach Forest Pool (Offenbach). My opinion: It’s about time!

04/30/24, 6am: A3: 55 years old died in accident.

A 55-year-old driver has died in an accident on the A3 between Bad Camberg and Limburg. Police said his car was crushed under a truck early in the morning. The driver was traveling in the left lane of the three-lane highway, while the 59-year-old truck driver was traveling in the right lane. It is still unclear why the deceased’s car ended up under the truck.
