A 78-year-old local man from Piesendorf was attacked by a dog and injured his shoulder on Saturday. The pensioner was able to prevent further attacks with the help of the dog’s owner.

A 78-year-old man was bitten on the shoulder by a stray dog ​​in Piesendorf (Pinzgau) on Saturday. As Salzburg police announced in the late afternoon, a local man was walking along a forest path when he was suddenly attacked by a dog.

With the help of the dog’s owner, 53, Pinzgauer was able to fend off further attacks. The injured pensioner was taken to the hospital during the rescue. According to police, the dog’s owner has been referred to the prosecutor’s office on suspicion of negligent injury.
